EVELYN CLOTHIER, DIAMOND, CULTURED PEARL, EMERALD, AND SAPPHIRE PEACOCK BROOCH/PENDANT


Designed as a peacock, set with old European cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.50 carats total, rose cut diamonds, oval, marquise cut, and cabochon emeralds, square and cabochon cut sapphire, a drop cultured pearl measuring approximately 5.85 x 5.35 mm, and a baroque cultured pearl measuring approximately 12.90 mm wide. Mounted in 18 karat yellow gold and platinum. 3 1/2 x 3 inches.
Stamp: (maker's mark) PLAT 18K.

Known for her Art Nouveau inspired designs, Evelyn Clothier is an award-winning jewelry designer whose jewelry could be seen for years at Bergdorf Goodman’s. Using vibrant gemstones, iridescent enameling and plique-a-jour, she creates whimsical creatures and delicate flowers. Lot 118, the Peacock Brooch Pendant was featured in Vogue Magazine, December 1998 and is from the personal collection of Evelyn Clothier.
